ISDN
Integrated Services Digital
Network (ISDN) is an older technology than broadband. Basic Rate
Interface (BRI) or Primary Rate Interface (PRI) services are
available. The BRI service has two channels and if both are active
128kbps of bandwidth is available.
In some regions, the UK for example, an ISDN
line is
a relatively expensive service. Fees include an installation/set up
fee, a quarterly subscription charge plus call charges. You
may also have to purchase an ISDN modem or router.
