I bought this domain when it went up for sale in 2010. I have been looking for a domain to build a website on about starting and growing a home based business. This one happened to fit that description nicely as it used to be a website that served the same general purpose.
I am not quite sure how I am going to make money with this website yet. I might do some affiliate promotions for products that I use and like. Maybe I will monetize whatever traffic I get by using an advertising network like Google’s Adsense program or Chitika perhaps. I haven’t decided that entirely just yet. That actually goes against what I tell other people to do. So, I guess I am being a hypocrite. Oops.
As I said, I will be offering advice about building a home based business firsthand. I have been in business for myself for nearly twenty years now. I started a business from my home back in the early 1990’s. I grew that business and moved out of my home a few years later. Eventually, after the business really started taking a toll on my mental health, I decided to shrink it and move back into my home.
With the collapse of the housing bubble in the United States in 2008, my business suffered badly. I guess pretty much everyone got hit. It was during that time frame that I decided that I needed to be working out of my home instead of continuing down the road I was on.
I now run a number of very small micro-businesses right out of my home full time. I work at each business on a part time basis. This keeps things interesting enough for me not to get too bored with one business. So far so good. I am at a happy place with the direction of my businesses.
I am opinionated about a lot of things. That might show through in my writing. Maybe you will be able to relate to some of it. I hope you can. I promise to be brutally honest about things. I will not sugar coat things (at least not on purpose). I will do my best to provide you with truthful advice that I wish I had been given. If I do promote any affiliate products on here, I will say so.
I do have quite a bit of experience as an internet marketer and making money online. I will be offering plenty of advice on that subject. I do not intend to try to sell you some get rich quick scheme like a lot of the other people out there. I think you will be able to tell pretty quickly that I am an honest guy who likes to meet other ambitious entrepreneurs.
